Catchy

A phrase that caught my attention. A statement which suggests to enjoy the arts. Any form of art that is, but it also commands by using the word "go". The letter O is used figuratively with bodies contorted into poses to form the shape. Personally I interpret it as "Go and enjoy dance as your art."

I remember what a teacher in one of my ballet classes said, "What makes an artist different from a dancer is attention to details." I realized from then on to do my very best in the most simple things.

Yes, sometimes everyting seems so monotonous, but there is always a flipside. Like the yin-yang there is always a positive energy in everything negative. An artist sees both sides and can create a beautiful product even in the most ugly material.

SO Go!Interpret this phrase as your own.=)

The Big Umbrella

This is to add in my series of umbrella ( umbrella-ish?) photos in my previous entry. This serves as a big tent or the ceiling of the place. I saw this in Clark Quay, Singapore.

This is how it looks during the night. The blue lights are very attractive.

I don't know why I am attracted to umbrellas. I just find them cute and functional.=)

Ostrich Farm

This is the Ostrich Farm of Cagayan de Oro City, it is located in Opol. The place is very far and the road is so steep, you need a car or better a truck to go to the place.

The ostriches are so cute! They love to smile for the camera.

These are the young chicks, their feathers still have the black and white color and they lose it when they get older.
This is a male ostrich, you can distinguish it by its reddish pink color on its beak and legs. Here he is trying to move the egg. The male ostrich gets mad when their young ones are taken away.

White Water Rafting

This is my second time to go river rafting in Cagayan River. This time we opted for the wild course, we will be encountering wilder rapids and our raft is allowed to be flipped, unless there is one person in the raft who doesn't want. Well, when you're in the river already no one can predict the flow of the river! This is where the adventure begins.

Everybody is getting ready to ride on their rafts. The yellow raft is for the mild course, and the red one for the wild.YOoohooo!
Here everybody is shaken by the rapids. Take note: it rained the night before our rafting day so the river is higher than normal.

After incessant trials of our guides to flip the raft (for us to enjoy the river), they succeded when we passed by this big rock.
It happened very fast and everybody was floating their way downstream.

Here our our guides, chilling during our snack break, rather their yosi break.

Summer Lovin`

One thing I love about summer is the Holy Week vacation! My family don't celebrate it with religious practices, we only attend church service on the Easter. This year we spent the Holy week in Cebu. It is hot in the city! The day we arrived we headed directly to this Island across Mactan which is called Kaubyan.

We rode a bangka which similarly looks like this. (I am already in the bangka when I took this pic so I took a shot of the other bangka parked beside us.)

This is Kaubyan island. There is another island beside this which is where the people live. This is where we went which is actually the private resort being developed.
If there is sea, there is seafood, rather there ARE SEAFOOD! Yum!These welcomed us for lunch. Its my first time to eat scallops and I love it! My mom took home some of the shells.hehe.
I took a pic of the cute huts while I was sunbathing. I was actually lying down, exposing my back to the sun that's why the pic isn't proportioned.
I also saw these cute light bulbs deco inside Marco Polo Hotel later on in our trip. It looks like inverted umbrellas and also the like the huts in Kaubyan.
Proof of my fresh soak in the sun, I got a tan! Super tan that it's still on my back right now.
