Sweet you rock

A visit to my hometown this time is no ordinary nostalgia since it is filled with adventure with friends.

Its my fourth time to do white
water rafting and it still excites me every time. Each experience with the river is different and this time is just like being a first-timer with friends.

After a wild experience with water,we then conquered the Asia's longest zipline and felt how it was like to be Superman or Super human!

Then the ATV was my most favorite.Uphill and downhill moments were such a thrill like rock and roll!=)

Oh!

I am home for holiday, not that I'm spending Christmas eve with my mom at home (as my sisters are in the U.S. right now to spend it there with their family too) but the 2 days of coming home is considered my holiday as my work as cabin crew entails of still having a flight just like any normal day is supposed to be. I am not whining, I am just making the most of the 2days here at home and spending time with my mom.

Being home is so different, I feel relaxed and as what they say: "Home sweet home." Nostalgia is just around every corner and as much as I need to go back to work tomorrow, I just want to get trapped here for a moment or extend my stay.

The year is about to end and as I asses my 2010, I got a little disappointed as I cannot find highlights in the year. I got pretty much caught up with this job that I practically lived the day just to pass it by not realizing that the day has gone by too fast. As I remember how I pondered on planning my 2010, I wanted a break. I wanted to live, earn, and be a young professional. I do not blame myself because I wanted this and yet I do blame me, I realized I have been artistically hungry even if do not admit it to myself.

Beauty to behold

These are some scenic views that amazed me and so thankful to God for seeing.

Manila Bay and Manila from Corregidor's point of view
The perfect cone shaped Mayon Volcano in Legaspi. It is also the perfect weather to see it since it is usually covered with clouds.
This is from the aircraft's L2 door view so half of the aircraft's wing is beside the volcano.
(trivia: I don't know where the church is so don't try looking for it in this picture.ok?)
Sunrise from a red-eye flight in the office.I am challenged to post more pictures throughout my daily travel and so this is one reason that I am starting to love my job.=)

champorado!

I was craving for champorado last week and this is the best I've ever tasted! Not only is it made of belgian chocolate but it is also topped with raspberry ice cream from Fruits in Ice cream. Yum!=p

Day tour

Visiting Corregidor was remembering the history of Philipines during World War II. This was made as a fortress by our Filipino heroes.

We rode the ferry ride going to Corregidor and this is the view from Manila Bay.It was a sign of a good weather.

We saw the old remains of structures like libraries, dormitories, dining places but I could not distinguish which is which from the pictures I've taken. We were not allowed to go inside, just a view from afar.

This is the Battery Park. Battery is what they call the canons.
This is a cool work of art!
The last part of the Day tour was going inside the tunnel. It was creepy, good thing we were with a group. If you love history then backpack to this island.

La Mesa Eco Park

It has been a long time since I went into an eco trip and be active again.
La mesa Eco park is located along Fairview, Quezon City. Amidst a polluted city, it is nice to know that there is a forest hidden within it. There was nothing much to do since the zipline and boating were under renovation.
It's my first time to try rock wall climbing, and it is with this 40ft wall.
It was such an effort trying to go my way up. Now my back muscles are so sore and even my triceps feel I've lifted so much weight (my own weight)! Then we tried shooting, and I realized I don't have a future in being a secret agent or NBI.haha!

work vs work

It is my first time to get a real job and the notion is "I am lucky" to land a job wherein a lot of people today are jobless.
Three months of my probationary period and I am already stressed.

I don't know if it is just the pressure that my working hours are spent 36,000 ft above sea level and I feel exhausted. If because I am still a newbie and have to exert so much effort to prove to my workmates. If it is just the schedule that until now I am not used to: waking up when everybody is asleep and going to sleep when everybody is still awake. If it is getting along with different types of personalities, not just the passengers but also your co-crew.

Work is work and I just realized how difficult it is if it is not what you love to do.
